Weapon Skills define how good a character is with specific weapons and unlock several abilities as you progress. Weapon skills have five available tiers. At every tier, a passive damage (and accuracy for ranged weapons) bonus to that specific weapon type will be given for all attacks. With shields, a bonus will be given to blocking chance instead of damage. This bonus is the score in the primary statistic, multiplied by the rank level. For example: rank 3 in axes with a score of 9 strength, gives a bonus of 27. This bonus will be 36 and 45 for ranks 4 and 5 respectively. With 8 strength, those bonuses will be 24, 32 and 40.
